Wilhelm Bernhard Workshop mission
The aim of the Wilhelm Bernhard Workshops is to create a multidisciplinary meeting
representing various research approaches most used in studies on the cell nucleus structure, functions and their
relationships. In a long term, it hopes to improve scientific knowledge in the respective research areas and
contribute to our understanding of genome functioning, cancer development, diagnostics and cure.
The workshops strive to promote expert contacts between scientists across all borders and
support young researchers, especially from the target regions by making space for them not only to meet the top
scientists, but to absorb the latest scientific achievements, embed them in their own projects, and use the
newly established contacts with researchers and industry for their research in home countries.
