How to get there

By public transport

Metro station Kačerov (line C), then take bus No. 138 heading towards the Ústavy Akademie věd (Academy of Sciences). At the reception desk at the entrance to the premises, ask for permission to enter. Institute of Molecular Genetics is located in building F (orange modern building).

From the airport

From the airport take bus No. 119 to “Nádraží Veleslavín” (subway – line A). Take the subway in the direction “Depo Hostivař” to the station “Muzeum”.

Transfer to line C and take the subway in the direction “Háje”. Then you have two options:

  1. Go to the station “Kačerov” and then by bus No. 138 in the direction “Ústavy Akademie věd” to the final stop.
  2. Go to the station “Budějovická” and then by bus No. 193 in the direction “Šeberák” to the stop “Zelené domky”, and after walking back about 150 m turn to the left and in cca 100 m reach the main gate of the campus.


By car

From D1 highway, central motorway (magistrála) and South conjunction (Jižní spojka) exit towards Jesenice (Michle). Go towards Jesenice along the Vídeňská street, Thomayer hospital (Thomayerova nemocnice) and IKEM and after about 2 km turn right. The junction is marked “Ústavy Akademie věd” (Academy of Sciences). At the reception desk at the entrance to the campus ask for permission to enter and park in the parking lot in front of the Institute of Molecular Genetics (building F).
